About Lean Lego Game

Who is Lean Lego Game for?

Since we all deal with and use processes in some form both at work and home, Lean Manufacturing training is useful for everybody. Yet, its usually taken by Grand Rapids students working in manufacturing or service provision. In our course, Grand Rapids students learn:

Lean Lego Game Course Overview:

Rather than death by PowerPoint, experience waste, push vs. pull processes, kanban, kaizen, systems thinking, and work cells in a fun exercise. This workshop is intended for students fairly early in their Lean journey but can be a fun refresher for more advanced practitioners. It can be run in either a short or longer session which never goes past half-day. A typical day looks like this:

Grand Rapids

Furniture City

Excellent choice! Grand Rapids in on the Grand River 30 miles east of Lake Michigan. It began as a trading post dealing mostly in furs. A federal survey office was established. A hydro-electric generator was built. Gypsum was mined. Fluoride was added to city water. Bridges were built. And logs milling flourished which spawned furniture manufacturing. Grand Rapids has since been selected for Ford's City of Tomorrow Challenge. If you're seeking fun things to do after Lean Lego Game, the city is known for the Frederik Meijer Gardens, Gerald Ford Museum.

When I attended MBBC's 5S Training, I did not know what to expect. I went into it with an open mind and was presently surprised. While I was listening to the presentation I imagined all the ways I could apply the training to my facility. The class was upbeat and engaging and the instructor referenced real world examples to connect with issues we face every day. I left the training inspired and eager to apply what I learned to my facility. I would recommend the 5S Training to anyone who is looking improve their efficiency in manufacturing.
